This rum, originating from a single cask at Clarendon, was distilled in 1997 and bottled in 2023 without any dilution or additives. Cask #432893 spent 22 years maturing in tropical conditions before completing its aging in Europe.

The aroma reveals a lively mix of kiwi, minerals, and a hint of sweet rubber cement. On the palate, the rum brings a bold funkiness, with underlying flavors of aged wooden bar tops, rich chocolate brownie, funky citrus, and a touch of glue. The finish lingers with notes of funky melon, complemented by tannic spices and a firm grip, likely due to the extended aging. This rum is an intriguing example of the impact of prolonged tropical aging on Jamaican spirits.

Because of delays related to the pandemic, the bottling was postponed from September 2021. The rum continued to age in the cask at the Fine Drams warehouse in Denmark until it was finally bottled in April 2023.

A total of 336 bottles were produced.
