This rum originates from the West Indies Rum Distillery (WIRD) in Barbados and is made from molasses. It was distilled in a series of pot stills in June 2000 and bottled in July 2024. The majority of its aging took place on the European continent in an old ex-bourbon cask that had been used multiple times before.

This is a bold WIRD pot still expression, commonly known as "Rockley Style." Only a limited number of bottles have been released, with just 80 bottles available. The name Rockley refers to a long-lost distillery, which was once believed to have transferred one of its stills to WIRD. However, historical records indicate that this still could not have been operational in 1986 and 2000, the years when these rare "Rockley Style" vintages were produced. Nevertheless, WIRD successfully recreated the distinctive style associated with the original distillery.

It is likely that this rum results from a combination of distillations, where the unique and renowned "Vulcan" triple chamber still was used as a wash still, followed by a second distillation in a small pot still as the spirit still. Some bottles from the same vintage also mention the use of a column still in the production process.
